Caring Hands and Supplementary Enrichment Education, LLC was established in the spring of 2005 by Mrs. L.P. Hinton. After experiencing firsthand the difficulties parents face while trying to receive services for a family member, Mrs. Hinton decided to create a provider agency that would truly be an advocate for families who have a loved one who is disabled. Based on the principle that every individual has the potential for growth and success, Mrs. Hinton decided to offer supplementary enrichment activities to maximize the individuals’ opportunity for growth.

Due to our unique collaborative community approach, Caring Hands has experienced tremendous success in North Carolina. As a result, we have decided to expand our services to Virginia. We are pleased to announce that Caring Hands is officially licensed as “A Provider of and Mental Health Services and Mental Retardation (Intellectual Disability) services in the State of Virginia.

The company utilizes the same caring philosophy and approach in Virginia when working with the disabled community. In conjunction with our Sponsored Residential Program, Caring Hands of Virginia offers special activities that include therapeutic horseback riding, arts and crafts, exercise, dance, computer classes, and meditation and relaxation therapy. The activities are conducted by professionals who have the patience and endurance to work with the disabled population. Caring Hands works diligently to achieve the maximum level of care for each individual we serve. Our staff will collaborate and assist with Person Centered Planning to ensure that each individual’s life is fully enhanced. Our sincere desire is to facilitate the total growth and development for all the individuals we serve. Caring Hands is “A Caring Company”.

In addition to activities, Caring Hands offers twenty-four hour staff and surveillance; medication administration and wheelchair accessibility. Also, our
staff facilitates any need for Durable Medical Equipment, Skilled Nursing, Personal Care and transportation to and from all doctor appointments
and activities.
